All the facilities on Stanwix Park are available to campers and tourers to enjoy and are included in the price. We have two camping and touring sites on Stanwix Park.

Criffel Site is at the top end near the golf course and Skiddaw Site is at the bottom end of the park shaded by trees.

• All pitches are hard standing and suitable for tents or caravans with awnings except No’s 247 to 254 which are grass and small in depth (15ft). Hard standing pitches are fine pea gravel for better drainage and the ground sheet is clean when lifted. The feedback from campers is that they are warmer than grass. There is a grass area between each pitch for a car or tables and chairs.
• All pitches have Electric (240 volt 10amp), water, sewage hook-ups and chemical disposal points.
• Free hot and cold-water in both toilet blocks which include washbasins, toilets, showers and bath cubicles as standard.
• Criffel Site has a camper’s kitchen with worktops, sinks, electric hobs and microwaves.
• On the main park is a laundry with washing and drying facilities.
• Only two dogs per pitch are allowed, charged at £3 per day and mustbe kept under strict control on a lead at all times.
• Booking in advance is advisable to guarantee a pitch. Pitches are numbered,
if you have a favourite pitch number,we will do our best to oblige.

Pitch Footprint size 23ft (7m) deep x 15ft (4.6m) wide. Draw bar or guide ropes not included.Caravan with annexes attached to awnings are not accepted as they exceed the pitch size.

These style tents are not accepted

Tent Sizes

Come in all shapes and sizes but they will need to fit on our pitches without
encroaching on to the next pitch. The below frame tents or similar will not fit
on our pitches. If you have a large tent please inform us of the length and width before booking and we will be happy to advise you if it will be suitable. We reserve the right to refuse any tent that doesn’t conform to our pitch footprint size.If your tent exceeds the footprint you will need to book 2 pitches side by side (subject to availability and size) and will be charged accordingly. Gazebos are not allowed in the grass space between pitches. We have some pitches that cater for motor homes up to 25ft or longer but you must notify the office at time of booking. These pitches could be on another part of the park with a few minutes walk to the toilets. Only one car per pitch. During wet weather cars must be parked on the car park to save the grass being churned up.

Early Arrivals
You are welcome to use the facilities from 9am on your day of arrival.
